Dear Parents and Guardians,
State law requires students attend school for 180 days in a school year. Prior to the work stoppage, the last day of school was scheduled to be June 17. The Board of Directors has added a make-up day onto the end of the school year. The last day of school will now be June 18 with an early release, and June 17 is now a full day of school. Seniors will not be required to attend school on June 18. The last day for seniors to attend school remains June 11.
We realize calendar changes can be disruptive to families, and we apologize for any inconveniences due to these changes.
The Board of Directors voted at the March 16, 2015 meeting to eliminate Late Start Mondays for the 2015-16 school year. Next year, Monday will have the same start time as other school days. The first day of school for the 2015-16 school year will be Tuesday, September 1, 2015.
