Special Services staff members are conducting on-going developmental screenings for children ages birth through 21 who live in the Sequim School District, who are not attending school, and who may be delayed in one or more of the following areas: cognitive, communication, fine motor, gross motor, social/emotional, adaptive skills or health impairments. The purpose of screening is to identify any developmental delays that may potentially affect a child’s performance in school. The intervention program offers the child and their family a connection to appropriate services, education and information. Any individual or agency provider who wishes to refer a child for screening should contact Colleen Robinson, Special Education Programs secretary, at(360)582-3400. Please include the child’s name, birth date, age, mailing address and telephone number.
