    From Superintendent Gary Neal:

I would like to report that we have categorized over 70 pages of combined notetaking from our four Listening Sessions in March and have made the data available on the District's website. I would like to again thank all of the folks who took time out of their schedules to visit with me and share thoughts, concerns, and impressions about our last construction bond.  Click here to read Listening Session Comments.

  • Kindergarten registration for fall 2016 will be held at both Sequim elementary schools on Monday, May 2

    Helen Haller Elementary/350 W. Fir Str./(360)582-3200, from 4 - 6:30 p.m. in the school's library.

    Greywolf Elementary/171 Carlsborg Rd./(360)582-3300, from 4 - 5:30 p.m. in the school's multi-purpose room.

Sequim School District offers an All Day Kindergarten program.  Please remember, your child needs to be five years old on or before August 31, 2016 in order to attend Kindergarten in fall 2016.  The elementary school your child will attend is dictated by where you reside.  A map showing the Elementary School Boundary Line can be found on this website under Our District, then Schools. If you are still unsure, you can phone the District at (360)582-3260.

  • Sequim School District Policy Regarding Non-Resident and Out-of-Attendance Area requests for the 2016-2017 School Year

Given the over-crowded facility issues we are facing, the Sequim School District will not be accepting any new out-of-district, or out of attendance area requests for 16-17 school year, with the exception of those categories protected by law. To clarify:

    1. Out-of-district Choice students and out of attendance area IntraDistrict transfer students, currently enrolled in the system, will be allowed to stay until graduation, as per federal guidance. However, a new Choice form or IntraDistrict Transfer form must be completed each school year, or upon moving out of the district or out of the attendance area.
    2. As per RCW 28A.225.225 , children of a full-time certificated or classified Sequim School District employee will be allowed to attend, even if the family lives out of district.
    3. We intend to honor current residency boundaries for elementary attendance. No new IntraDistrict transfers will be accepted. This helps us plan more effectively.
    4. Even if there are siblings in our system from non-resident families, we will not accept new Kindergarten students from non-resident families or out of attendance area families.
    5. ALL inquiries about non-resident applications should be directed to Marilyn Walsh at (360) 582-3262 or mwalsh@sequim.k12.wa.us.
