District Strategic Plan

In an effort to obtain community input on improvement efforts, the District invited community leaders, parents, and interested citizens to join them in creating a five year improvement plan. In 2005, more than 80 educators and citizens gathered for two days to lay the original ground work for the first version of this document.

Participants gave the 2005-2011 District Strategic Plan an extensive review and makeover to reflect the ever changing local, state and federal school climate. An ongoing work-in-progress, the plan provides a "road map" to guide the direction and vision of staff, parents, and community in what we hope to achieve for our students.
District improvement is a continuous process we use to ensure that all students are achieving at high levels. Innovative, exemplary, and research-based programs, coupled with staff development, focused and aligned resources, and public participation in planning are critical factors in improving the district and schools. Please review the Sequim School District Strategic Plan linked to in the left panel. This is the second revision since the original, working document.

School Improvement Plans

School improvement is the single most important business of the school, in that it is the process schools use to ensure that all students are achieving at high levels. The continuous school improvement planning process is the process used to coordinate and prioritize all the work of the school in the context of student achievement. These plans address all required elements for School Improvement as prescribed by WAC 180-16-220.
